FYF Fest is this Saturday!! Out of all the other bullshit corporate (not to mention straight up expensive) festivals there are in the summer, FYF Fest is hands-down the best festival you could possibly attend. Sean Carlson & Keith Morris (yes of Black flag & the Circle Jerks) put on one of the summer’s most incredible independent music festivals and I promise you it is NOT to be missed.
With a line-up of over amazing 25 bands (The Black Lips, Lucero, Wavves, No Age, Times New Viking, & Converge just to name a few) the festival is set-up to “provide a low-cost event of great entertainment while raising awareness of the possible closure of up to 100 State Parks” due to California’s tremendous budget cuts.

This year, FYF Fest has out-grown it’s original venue of Echo Park and moved down the way to Los Angeles State Historic Park in Chinatown. Which means enjoying the last moments of summer as well plenty of public transportation options (encouraged). If there is one music festival you make it to this summer make it this one. It is going to rule.
