Salazar / ‘Brasstronaut’

posted by matt | Sep 15, 2009

salazar

Salazar is a boutique video production company specializing in music videos and narrative films. The company is comprised of four friends, all filmmakers, who they say all had similar visions in terms of the kinds of films they wanted to make. It seems like it's working, as a lot of their stuff has a pretty uniform feel. I really appreciate when great things come out of small budgets. I particularly like their newest outing - a music video for 'Old World Lies' by Brasstronaut. A dingy sailboat, open water, a lot of junk, and mysterious underwater footage make this one pretty irresistible. Click through the jump to watch it.
