Hobo Magazine is a really rad arts/culture magazine now in its 11th issue. Consistently featuring unlikely faces on their covers (i.e. Christopher Walken, Naomi Watts, Philip Seymour Hoffman), this method of operation is indicative of the publication’s general nature — an independent magazine touching its toes to the waters of the mainstream world. Hobo’s progressive content choices are buttressed by a slick presentation; the art direction provides excellent placement of assertive typeface against a strategic use of white-space. Their photography all retains a sense of uniformity and continually hooks back into the overall branding. I also love that you can read selected stories from previous issues on their site, and their journal is starting to come along as well. Click through the jump to see some images.
