Farm Tactics
Kyle Ng is the man behind L.A.-based utilitarian apparel/accessory brand, Farm Tactics. As a sixth-generation Chinese American, Ng is very proud and inspired by his American heritage, and as such uses repurposed native materials (military and non-) for items under the line.
Ng’s grandfather, an industrial designer in the 50s and 60s, was also a hefty influence in his life, and the weekends the two spent together inspired the line’s THE WEEKEND collection, comprised of tops made with special fabrics and pencil holders that were a staple of his grandfather’s wardrobe.
All the garments and bags are made right here in the U.S. and carried locally in workwear stores like Craft (L.A.) and BK Circus (Brooklyn), but you can also pick up some gear at their online store (which actually happens to be under maintenance right now).
Check out a cool interview with Kyle Ng over at Limitedhype, and be sure to click through the jump for some images of the rad bags the line is putting out.
And yes, that is Mayer Hawthorne.
