A while back, before they left for tour with Edward Sharpe, Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes stopped by Mayday HQ. Of course we had to ask him to play a tune for us, so he chose ‘My Girl to Me,’ off their debut LP, North Hills, the way he’s wanted people to hear it for some time now. Enjoy it below!

They are even better live than on their album. You rarely see a frontman as committed to his performance as Taylor. And he’s cute to boot!

I am definitely catching Dawes with Edward Sharpe at the High Sierra Festival. It’s the only show I am looking forward to this summer.

Have enjoyed this group since I first heard “When My Time Comes” as played on WXPN. The harmony and lyrics are fantastic. I am so sorry I will miss them at XPN Summer Festival. Hope to catch the group live.
