There’s not much to say about our flickr picks; we like what we see. That said, I’m really into a lot of the stuff that onetwentyeight has been posting. Lots of cool archival images that he’s apparently scanned from library books. This is a set of Nautical and Navigational Astronomy images, which, in my opinion are so much more interesting when you have no idea what they mean. Check out more images after the jump.

Michael Krueger’s work is precisely that. He places funny little characters into colorful dreamworlds against surprisingly dynamic, barred backgrounds. The drawings are extensively detailed (or as detailed as you can get with colored pencil), but what attracts me more to this work is his ability to create such affective moods out of really dreamy settings. His titles are pretty rad too. Take a peek after the jump to check out some more.
