Last week, you undoubtedly caught the enchanting video of The Morning Benders, John Vanderslice, Christopher Owens of Girls, and a dozen others as they performed ‘Excuses’ for our friends at yourstru.ly.
This week, The Morning Benders have released their opening track from their brand new LP Big Echo and it is just flat out incredible. This is hands down my favorite track MB has ever produced and if this is any indication of how Big Echo is going to feel then get ready.

How To Make It In America is your new favorite show. HBO kicked off its premier episode this week, which presented to us 2 twenty-something hustlers trying to ride the beast that is New York City. Is this NYC’s answer to Entourage? Maybe. With Mark Walberg as Executive Producer I’m sure we’ll see some similarities, but for now we’re looking forward to more cocaine fueled late nights and romanticized loft parties.
The show also flaunts Last Night’s Party–styled vernacular photography woven throughout the episode, bringing to life the 24 hr. NYC lifestyle. Peep the killer opening featuring ‘I Need a Dollar’ by Stone’s Throw artist Aloe Blacc
Tonight is the second night of Spirit Animal’s residency at The Roxy Theatre in Hollywood. They are playing with Verb the Adjective Noun and The Choke. The night starts at 8pm, so be there. And if you’re one of the people who got one of the ten KCRW giveaway tickets, well lucky you.

It gives me great pleasure to debut Say Mayday’s fourth mixtape curated by none other than Chris Black. The Master of Mischieve pulled out all the stops with 2 or 3 Things, and hooked up a belter of a mixtape for you to either touch yourself, or someone else, this Valentine’s Day weekend.
Wake up late, lay in bed and light a joint. This is the soundtrack to a day of relaxing and enjoying someone you love (or at least like). Happy Valentines Day.
